Alignment Assessments
Organizational Transformation
and Renewal
For Fidelity Investment's in-house agency, we aligned
staff's attitudes, behavior, relationships, decision-making
and way of working by building new vision excitement and buy-in
at the senior management level on down through the creation
of a common vision, shared goals, values, team "rallying
cry" and an implementation plan. We interviewed representative
cross sample of staff to identify threats and opportunities
to forwarding client-focused vision. We then held leadership
retreat to strengthen their understanding of each other's
strengths and challenges as well as their ownership of new
vision and exposed leadership to silo mentality threats and
stronger collaboration opportunities. We facilitated the creation
of shared goals, values, a leadership mantra and a comprehensive
communication action plan to drive vision forward. We reengineered
workflow process to align with new vision and ensure clearer
cross-functional and client communication and documentation,
consistent quality control, and higher creative standards.
And finally, we led experiential learning train-the-trainer
sessions with leadership team to begin to ingrain the values
of teamwork, clear communication, and quality assurance into
their day-to-day activities.
RESULTS: Client satisfaction is up on measures of both
partnership and process. Silo mentality is dead and cross-functional
collaboration has become the standard operating procedure.
Employee satisfaction is up and employee turnover is down.
"I was hired to be a change
agent. When I took over as head of the Agency at Fidelity
Investments, I was charged with improving client relations
as well as employee morale. It was obvious that we needed
a more client-focused vision and better teamwork across
agency departments. That was the easy part. It was much
more difficult to actually change staff behavior with clients
and each other. Betsey Dalbeck conducted input sessions
with employees to identify potential barriers to achieving
our new vision, and then conducted sessions with a leadership
team to develop levers to overcome those barriers. She also
helped embed the teamwork focus in our day-to-day activities
by helping to revise our workflow, and by leading train
the trainer sessions with managers. The work has paid off.
Our client satisfaction measures are up, employee turnover
has reduced, and our people are working cross-functionally
as never before. We couldn't have done it without Betsey's
objective, professional observations and creative solutions."
Todd Estabrook, senior vice president/in-house agency
director, Fidelity Investments

Vision Alignment
For Hill, Holliday, we integrated specialty areas
to forward new "creative excellence" corporate vision
and ensure standards remained intact. Developed organization-wide
communication plan to create a shared vision of excellence.
Established customer service standards, system-wide best practices,
and role clarity.
RESULTS: Within months, clients received best solutions
"across the brand." Regained creative reputation
spurred new business success, attracted top tier talent and
eventually led to company being sold to Interpublic for $100
million.
"When I ran Hill, Holliday,
Betsey took us from what was close to anarchy and streamlined
us to the point where we were well integrated, well equipped,
well managed and running smoothly. She was the bridge between
creative and other departments leading the charge to work
together more effectively to improve our work. Her organization
helped us achieve my goal of being named to the top ten
hottest shops in Creativity Magazine as well as being featured
in Communications Arts. Her outstanding management ability,
team building skills, depth of experience and personality
enable her to make invaluable contributions to firms organizing
to improve their product and profitability."
Fred Bertino, partner, McCarthy Mambro Bertino

Vision & People Focused Organizational
Alignment
For Smash, we drove organizational alignment around
a new vision and mission and prioritized immediate and long-term
next steps.
RESULTS: Management discovered the individual strengths
and passions they needed to tap to drive forward new vision
most successfully. Management also identified a stronger,
more effective workflow process and reporting system and created
a vision/mission focused communication plan to embed new vision
organization wide.
"Betsey helps an organization
effect high-quality, high-impact change that empowers it
to be at its best -- and to be highly profitable -- all
while retaining its distinctive values and character. This
was essential for Smash since our clients include blue-chip
clients like NBC, VH-1 and The History Channel, and startups
with fast-changing, mission-critical needs. Betsey's not
about slick theories, fancy charts or glib, quick fixes.
She immerses herself in the organization's culture, reviews
practices, debriefs top management and staff, unearths all
facets of major issues, brings to bear her considerable
change management experience, and delivers a blueprint for
success. Her plan works because it's relevant, actionable,
and preserves the best of the organization's corporate culture.
But it also works because Betsey excels at selling-in the
plan and converting best-intentions into best-practices.
The result is an interlocking set of self-imposed milestones
and deadlines for each member of the management team. Betsey
is focused, direct, and firm; her experience and manner
inspire confidence and prevent distracting "dramas"
from cropping up. It's a deceptively simple combination
that results in powerful change. I've read all the books
and met with a variety of consultants. Betsey's the complete
package, and I wish we'd found out about her years ago."
Mark Tomizawa, president/CEO, Smash

Vision Leadership
For Passion at Work®, we collaborated on the design
and facilitation of a series of management retreats for a
fast growing start up to ignite the passion, innovation, creativity,
decision making and vision focus of leaders and their cross-functional
teams.
RESULTS: Re-ignited the founders, created a shared
vision supported by the entire leadership team, retained the
best of the company while evolving it into a more nimble,
agile and professional corporation.
"I thank Betsey for collaborating
with Passion At Work to create an intense, productive, and
meaningful series of leadership development programs for
our client. I was very impressed with her unrelenting thirst
for knowledge that left no stone unturned and for her masterful
facilitation skills. These abilities contributed to the
success of the program which the client praised as "intensely
relevant and business enhancing." Passion At Work is
eager to work with Betsey again."
Francesca Vanegas, president, Passion At Work, Lincoln,
RI

Vision Focused Cultural
Change
For Hill, Holliday Interactive, we strengthened "quality
product" collaboration among the three functions that
drive product development within a promising, yet unfocused
unit. Guided management to create cultural platform centered
on team collaboration and shared learning. Worked with entire
organization to develop shared business principles, clearer
processes and systems to optimize quality accountability,
and created a forum for cross-functional knowledge exchange.
Coached team leadership triumvirate to drive vision forward.
To jumpstart vision commitment to vision and build a stronger
sense of team FAST, we collaborated with Outward Bound to
design and deliver an organization-wide retreat.
RESULTS: Established an organization built on trust
and respect. Integrated team became more focused, more productive,
more creative and achieved higher than anticipated profitability
goals. Praised as best run interactive unit within IPG global
network.
"Betsey came to my aid at
a critical time at Hill, Holliday. I had just taken over
Hill, Holliday's Interactive unit after a period of incredible
growth and restructuring. No organized purpose had been
communicated for quite some time. There had been no sustained
continuity of leadership or vision. I came in with a vision
but found each person on my staff had his or her own agenda
and process. I needed help getting everyone focused on my
vision and aggressive goals. Given Betsey's success in our
creative unit, I asked for her guidance. She really listened
to me. Then she listened to my staff. Betsey's objective
perspective and organizational and operational insights
helped me clarify and better communicate my vision and its
relevance. She also helped me develop shared business principles,
define a new team-oriented culture, set clear priorities
and guidelines for my staff, and begin to establish systems
that optimized efforts and accountability. To get us all
to work better together, she also took the entire group
out to Thompson Island Outward Bound for a team building
program that not only brought the group closer together
but also created the foundation of trust and respect that
still exists today. Everyone better understands the vision
and strives to live it. Betsey helped me get the group to
this point faster than I would have on my own."
John Connors, founder, Boathouse Consulting

Vision Focused Process Reengineering
For DavisPartners, we guided the leadership team to
align roles, responsibilities and process with a clearer vision.
To jumpstart commitment to new vision, systems and processes,
we designed and led experiential learning train-the-trainer
sessions for the leadership team that helped them begin to
engrain the vision and values of teamwork into the organization's
day-to-day activities.
RESULTS: Organization became much more attuned with
who they wanted to be and how they needed to work to get there.
Clearer vision helped management look at potential clients.
"DavisPartners
(now GSO-Davis) had grown in many ways, including financially,
professionally, and in the size of our staff. However, it
had become all too apparent that our systems and procedures
had not kept pace with our continuing success. As a result,
we made the decision to correct this situation and turned
to Betsey Dalbeck's Fresh Tracks for guidance. We were impressed
by Betsey's credentials both within and outside of the agency
business and by her thinking detailed in her proposal. Her
references checked out very positively, so we went to work.
The result has been a clearer understanding and commitment
to our new processes and procedures, as well as comprehensive
job descriptions for all agency personnel. The training
and implementation effort that culminated our efforts was
also very helpful, insightful, and lots of fun for the entire
agency."
Tom Davis, EVP, GSOP/Davis
Leadership &
Team Development Training

Team Performance Revitalization
For Donahoe, Purohit, Miller, we designed and facilitated
an organization-wide program for a fast-growing, multi-location
service firm to increase understanding of team performance
dynamics and share performance enhancing concepts and tools.
RESULTS: Achieved greater team performance accountability,
profitability and team resource efficiencies. Increased comfort
of client line teams working in a virtual environment. Established
solution-seeking behavior at all levels of the organization.
"We were facing the challenge of
rapid growth over a 5 year period. Functional departments
and project team members were now located in different cities
making cohesive teamwork difficult. Although business was
strong, internal project work suffered. Errors became more
frequent. Staff got caught up in an "us vs. them"
mentality. Senior management became too involved in the
day-to-day crisis management to spend time thinking about
the big picture. Poor communication, internal missed deadlines
and mixed expectations left staff morale less than desirable.
The challenge became how to best create accountable, functioning
teams empowered to simplify process. We decided to talk
to Fresh Tracks, Inc. because Betsey had the experience
we were seeking. Betsey gave a tremendous amount of credibility
and expertise to our task at hand. Fresh Tracks came in
and recommended a strong plan to bring a series of team
building exercises and tools to senior management and our
core teams.
Through facilitating a series
of group activities and debriefings, Betsey coached the
groups into coming to their own "Ahaaaahs". Participants
are now applying their learning to real life situations
and behaving in a solution-seeking manner. One of our top
project directors summed up the experience of many by stating:
"I've
been through many team building workshops in my career,
and this is the first one where I now have tangible tools
I can take back to the work place and use tomorrow. Thank
you!"
We look forward to the rewards
of this time well spent and the practical tools that Fresh
Tracks provided us."
Monica Noce Kanarek, creative director, Donahoe Purohit
Miller

Service, Quality and Innovation
For Fidelity Investments Institutional Retirement Services
Company, we designed and delivered a training program
and a marketing communications tool kit to improve the effectiveness
of project leaders to spearhead the creation of relevant,
compelling and cost-effective marketing communications materials
by teams made up of cross functional staff and vendors.
RESULTS: Management thrilled to see marketing dollars
working harder and praised new marketing materials as "business
altering." Project leaders found training so useful they
have asked for further training and tools. Cross-functional
team members and vendors feel they are now fully briefed and
accountable partners prepared to offer better solutions.
"With an increasing emphasis
from our clients on the educational materials we develop
for 401(k) participants, it became important to develop
a consistent and clear process to produce excellent creative.
We chose Fresh Tracks, Inc. because of their extensive experience
in working with Marketing Communications professionals.
Fresh Tracks was very thorough - they interviewed members
of the group and developed the coursework to match the skill
level and expectations of the group. The workshops were
fast moving, engaging, and informative. We walked away with
specific tools to improve our creative process. Due to the
course, workshop attendees have increased their ability
to produce excellent creative by writing tighter creative
briefs and articulating clearer project and communications
objectives to their internal team members and agencies and
by objectively critiquing the creative concepts presented
to them. Our agency partners say we've made tremendous progress
since the workshops were completed. In fact, we were able
to work with them as a well oiled machine to develop critically
important business-altering communication materials in the
months following the training. While it was my idea to bring
Fresh Tracks in originally, participants were so impressed
that they asked me to bring Fresh Tracks back to conduct
another series of training programs."
Kim French, SVP, Fidelity Investments

Connectivity
For Babson College, we designed a series of communication
retreats to improve the communication network organization-wide.
Retreats fostered greater awareness and understanding of individual
strengths, needs, social styles and decision making preferences.
We also shared practical team performance enhancing models
and tools to use back at the office to increase likelihood
of win-win solutions.
RESULTS: Management praised retreat for establishing
a foundation of connectivity organization-wide while at the
same time building greater levels of trust and respect among
retreat participants.
"We called on Betsey Dalbeck
of Fresh Tracks, Inc. to help us increase the connectivity
of the employees in our division. Betsey put together an
engaging and enjoyable workshop and we held several retreats
that focused on our communication issues. Betsey was very
effective in helping us get to know one another and to begin
building a foundation for communicating effectively with
other organization members in the future. The retreats Betsey
designed and facilitated went a long way towards helping
us with our communication issues and improving our working
relationships."

Executive Coaching

Career Alignment Executive Coaching
For Outdoor Explorations, we coached the
former executive director of this inclusive disability outdoor
adventure organization to look inward to explore, discover
and tap his temperament, natural talents, interests and personal
leadership style. The coaching and developmental planning
sessions provided the focused concentration and attention
he needed to first lead his team more effectively, and then,
once he fully faced the truth about his real management strengths
and challenges, clarify his desires and begin to consciously
move onto his "right" career path.
RESULTS: Executive Director defined a new
vision of career success, left the organization, and developed
a focused job search based on his personal work/life goals.
He is now doing the leg work necessary to realize his leadership
vision at an accelerated pace. Outdoor Explorations completed
a job search for a new executive director better suited to
its current culture, needs and goals.
"I first began seeing Betsey
as an executive coach while I was the executive director
of a nonprofit organization. I was used to being the number
two person in an organization and this was the first time
I had been the executive director in many years. I worked
with Betsey to improve my leadership style and effectiveness.
Betsey is an extremely talented
and effective coach. She spent a significant amount of time,
first, interviewing me. Then she interviewed a large number
of people who worked for me, others who were on the board
of directors of my organization, and individuals not in
the organization but that I had dealings with.
The result of all that time-intensive
work was a "report" on all aspects of my performance.
She shared her findings with me in person and provided a
written report as well. I mention this because it was useful
to be able to sit down and listen (and question) Betsey's
interpretation of what she had heard from those she interviewed.
This step allowed me to better understand what people were
saying about me and why. It was an incredible learning tool.
For the first time in my twenty year career as a manager,
I had a full, accurate and "no holds barred" assessment
of my strengths and challenges as an executive.
Betsey used this report as the
basis for our discussion of how to understand my particular
leadership style. I especially appreciated Betsey's range
of experience in both the corporate and nonprofit worlds.
She has seen and worked with many different types of executives
and managers. This breadth of experience allows her to bring
an open, but knowledgeable, perspective to the question
of, "What kind of leader can I be?"
In this comprehensive personal
assessment phase of our work we identified my strengths
and challenges. But more importantly, she helped me understand,
more clearly than I ever had in the past, what kind of a
leader I could become. This was critical. I felt that Betsey
was committed to helping me maximize my strengths and overcome
my challenges as opposed to trying to fit me into a model
of "leadership types."
We then moved on to one-on-one
coaching and developmental planning sessions. The culmination
of this planning phase was Betsey's presentation and our
discussion around a customized developmental action plan
to address those areas that had been identified as my challenges.
Betsey prepared a draft document that we went through in
detail. I had a chance to ask questions about the specific
actions she recommended I take. This give and take allowed
us to come up with a truly useful and pragmatic "Development
Plan" specifically tailored to meet my needs and personal
and professional goals. We used this document over the next
several months as a "road map" to guide my work
as a leader and executive.
We have finished this action plan
phase of our work. I have gained rich insights into my leadership
style and temperament. I understand what my strengths are
and I have concrete actions I can take to work on my weaker
areas. But most of all, I appreciate Betsey's personal insights.
She has provided me with a forum in which to explore who
I am and what I want to become in terms of my career. This
has been invaluable. I have found it rare to work with someone
with such experience with whom I can freely discuss problems,
issues, challenges, and develop and implement strategies
on how to best address them.
Betsey's coaching helped me not
only discover that principally internal COO positions or
high level program positions in larger ($3 million+) nonprofits
are what I want to do, but her coaching also gave me the
courage to move in this new direction and begin a focused
job search.
I would recommend Betsey Dalbeck
with out hesitation and would be glad to speak to anyone
as well.."
Jim Schultz, former Executive Director of Outdoor
Explorations

Executive Track-tion™
Executive Coaching
For Fidelity Investments, Fresh Tracks'
Betsey Dalbeck coached one of their HR executives who desired
to move into a greater position of responsibility offering
new job challenges. The coaching session conversations not
only revealed the executives true strengths, passions and
areas of development; but also helped him align his career
and life goals. The developmental planning phase guided the
executive to best market his value inside his organization
without jeopardizing his personal style and integrity. The
final plan contained a wealth of resources and strategies
to best help him navigate his way towards his career and life
goals.
RESULTS: The coaching accelerated the HR
executive's career success and peace of mind. Within months,
the executive landed the position he sought within the organization.
The developmental plan we put together continues to fuel his
success. In fact, his most recent performance review, the
first while in his new position, noted his renewed passion,
energy and business-building contributions and rated his performance
at the highest possible level.
"I was struggling with getting
to the next level. I'd received very good performance reviews
but I wasn't being considered for broader responsibilities
and other assignments. Even though I had introduced several
programs to help our managers be more effective: change
management, action learning, and mentoring; I felt I was
not fully recognized as someone who could broaden his scope
and role - although I was seen as a thought leader within
a specific discipline.
On a strong recommendation from
trusted mentor, I met with Betsey Dalbeck and found her
approach and coaching style refreshing. Her expertise was
as a pragmatic hands-on manager versus a theorist. Also,
Betsey's marketing background was what I needed to help
me build my personal brand.
Betsey absolutely delivered against
my expectations! She worked with me on how to better market
my value and worth to the organization without losing sight
of who I am and my low key approach to self promotion. The
result of our work together is that I have a NEW ASSIGNMENT
- one which I had sought - that will broaden my skill set
and experience. In this new and broader role, I have the
opportunity to really progress in my career. Because it
closes the gap in my background, I will be better prepared
for even greater roles within my organization.
The most meaningful part of Betsey's
coaching was our conversations. I enjoyed having Betsey
- a person I trust - listen to my thoughts, dreams and aspirations
without passing judgment. She also did a great job testing
which of these were merely venting and which were things
I really wanted to take action on.
What has stayed with me from having
this coaching experience is how hard I need to work at seeing
the glass as half full. I have a tendency to look at the
glass as half empty. It continues to be hard work.
I would recommend Betsey as an
executive coach without hesitation for a couple of very
important reasons. One: Betsey continues to work with me
helping me identify what I really want to get out of my
profession and out of life (she helps me keep my eye on
the prize). She continues to offer help in networking and
think of strategies I may want to employ. This tells me
it's not just a job for Betsey - she cares and works very
hard to make sure I have the best possible chance to succeed.
That's important to me. Two: Betsey put together a great
package of resources, activities and work I can consider
in order to be more effective in my current role and future
roles. I don't know how much time that took but I was incredibly
impressed with the output and the hard work Betsey put in.
Made me want to work as hard as well."
Lee Martins, Director, Management Effectiveness,
Fidelity Investments
Vision Focused Executive Coaching
For Ciclismo Classico, we coached the two founders
of industry-praised, highly unique Italian cycling and walking
vacation tour company to clarify a new vision, set goals and
then align their process, roles and standards with their new
vision. To jumpstart commitment to vision and clearer systems
and processes, we designed and facilitated an organization-wide
retreat.
RESULTS: Evolved fast-growing, organic and sales-focused
organization into one that is more core process-focused, standards
based and taps the strengths of each employee.

Business Development Coaching
For Gearon Hoffman, we coached their business development
team on effective ways to identify and capitalize on prospect's
communication style to improve relationship and likelihood
of winning business.
RESULTS: Prospect awarded Gearon Hoffman the business
based on best cultural fit.
"When I led the business development
efforts at Gearon Hoffman, I tapped Fresh Tracks, Inc.'s
Betsey Dalbeck. After I moved on to S&H greenpoints
I hired her again. Why? Betsey is the new business pitch
team "shrink guru" -- she gets us to think about
how we say it and to whom we are saying it. We win new business
because she is part of our team."
Arthur Sweetser, SVP marketing, S&H greenpoints

Individual and Organizational
Executive Coaching
For individual executives and organizations who find themselves
"off track", Betsey Dalbeck helps them get back
on track by finding their own true path to success. First,
she listens to understand why they are where they are, what
path they have taken thus far, and where they want to go now.
Second, she asks probing, open-ended questions that act as
a mirror and allow individuals and organizations to see "the
truth about themselves" in a non-judgmental, respectful
manner. Once this knowledge is revealed, she navigates them
onto their own true path to success by helping them: 1) clarify
their vision and goals, 2) align it with their passion, talents
and purpose, and 3) commit to their true path by creating
and implementing an comprehensive action plan.
RESULTS: Individual executives and organizations
achieve extraordinary results because they've been transformed
into vision-focused leaders creating fresh tracks for themselves
and their organizations.
"Betsey has consistently provided
terrific coaching value to me both personally, and as a
former member of a management team. She is very effective
at helping senior management take a macro view of the organization
and determining how to drive the entire group towards its
shared goals. Her non-intrusive style respects the established
norms of a senior management team, while her collaborative
approach and obvious depth of experience gain her the attention
and trust of an organization's leaders."
Michele Levy, Founder, brand-strat.com

Change Leadership Meeting
Design & Facilitation
For Alloy Marketing & Promotions (AMP),
we designed and facilitated its first annual retreat to unify
the newly-merged company behind its new business strategy,
vision, name and executive leadership. Their challenge to
us, create a retreat that gets everyone on board with our
new organization while retaining the best talent, capabilities
and culture from previous entities. We first interviewed staff
from all of its newly merged business units and then coached
its top three executives to craft and deliver a shared, consistent
and believable message clarifying their new business strategy,
vision and mission.
RESULTS: Outcome in client's words was, "Nothing
less than fantastic. Ten months post merger, our people remain
committed to organization, shared goals and each other; plus
they know what it takes to succeed here."
"I was against the use of
an outside consultant initially and then was surprised at
the value that Fresh Tracks' Betsey Dalbeck brought to the
equation - not only was the event itself well put together
and run very smoothly - which I credit to Betsey - but the
content was also much more cohesive and valuable. This was
due to the planning, questioning and constructive challenges
that Betsey forced upon us. Facing a blending of cultures,
Betsey's help, support and direction was invaluable. The
money we spent with Fresh Tracks was money incredibly well
spent ."
Gary Colen, CEO, Alloy Marketing and Promotions
"At AMP we were faced
with combining the cultures of five recently acquired boutique
marketing agencies under one name, one roof and one set
of managers. Many of the employees had joined their former
companies because of the small company culture that existed
when they were hired. We had decided to have one big company
wide, two day off--site meeting to bring everyone together
(from five offices) and create shared learning and synergies.
We chose Betsey to help us craft
and deliver our message because of her ability to cut through
all of the clutter and define what we had to say and how
we had to say it. She started by interviewing the three
executive officers to get their point of view on the company.
Then she went on and executed random interviews with other
key players to get theirs. We quickly learned that there
were some subtle differences as to what we thought the company
was and how we were trying to communicate it. She quickly
got us to agree as to what our core essence was and then
we were able to start the process of crafting it and delivering
it. Betsey set up our timeline, found the physical site
for the meeting (which was perfect), reviewed and commented
on all presentation materials and ran rehearsals.
The results were nothing less than
fantastic. AMP's energy and positive culture seemed to grow
overnight. People understand the organization that they
work for, our shared goals, what the "other guy"
does and what it takes to succeed. The energy has maintained
quite well three months after the meeting. Overall we would
not be as successful as we are today without having the
meeting and without having Betsey as our consultant. "

Strategic Alignment Meeting
Design & Facilitation
For Maine Medical Center, Fresh Tracks,
Inc. co-designed and facilitated a strategic retreat to align,
organize and coordinate the efforts of six of MMC's mission
critical initiatives. At the time, MMC had over 20 separate
initiatives going on concurrently throughout their organization.
All were important to the future success of MMC shifting its
culture to become more nimble, change-able and timely in effective
decision-making. However, MMC's senior leadership believed
the initiatives needed to be interwoven in the minds of MMC
staff and seen as driving toward the same goal. To that end,
they identified six multi-disciplinary mission-critical initiatives
that would have the most significant impact on MMC's culture
shift. MMC's senior leadership desired to have the initiative
team leaders join forces to create a single strategic plan,
timeline and unified umbrella message so people would see
the relevance, compelling rationale and interdependence behind
the six initiatives. Fresh Tracks was hired to provide feedback
on the initial retreat design and process, and then help co-design,
plan and facilitate the retreat. Fresh Tracks' Betsey Dalbeck
built upon the original retreat plan by turning the retreat
into an experiential event filled with activities designed
to achieve leadership's desired results.
RESULTS: By the retreat's end, the retreat
team delivered to MMC's senior leadership a shared and aligned
mission and message based on MMC's vision, and a next 30-/60-/90-day
roll out plan with timeline. Client reports that their work
is still on track and that senior leadership has incorporated
their message into its new vision statement for MMC.
.
"Thank you for facilitating
Maine Medical Center's Strategic Initiative Alignment retreat.
Because of your skill in listening to our needs and hopes
with a critical ear, you helped us dig into our assumptions
and expand our possibilities. Your professional discipline
kept us on track and we met all of our goals. The 30-/60-/90-day
plan you initiated launched us into action. Months later
we are still on track with senior leadership incorporating
our work into its own vision for MMC. We gave you an ambitious
challenge, and you met it square on with intelligence and
grace."
Laurie Davis, Senior Training & Organizational
Development Specialist, Maine Medical Center

Shared Vision Meeting Design
& Facilitation
For Summit Dining Services (now Unidine),
we worked with Summit Dining Services' CEO to unify his new
vision and message, shape their company-wide off-site agenda
and content flow, design the team building portions of the
event, and advise them on meeting details.
RESULTS: Their off-site was a GREAT success.
90% of attendees rated it a 4 - 5 on a 5 pt. scale! Attendees
felt it was a great learning experience, that it clarified
what was expected and gave them a better understanding of
Summit Dining Services! Their theme was "Reaching the
Summit Together!" Great quotes we received were:
"I feel more a part of a greater
whole."
"I'm ready to reach the summit
with everyone!."
Seminars, Workshops
and Keynote Addresses

Leadership Roundtables
We create and facilitate distinctive leadership forums called
Trailblazer Roundtables that bring together leaders from same
industries to discuss ways to forward vision within their
organizations.
RESULTS: Leaders reported implementing new
strategies and tactics after each session that brought stronger
organizational alignment to their companies.
Betsey's Trailblazer Roundtable
is extremely valuable to me. The forum allows for a blend
of thought-provoking big picture thinking down to quick,
easy-to-implement, actionable bits of advice. Each meeting
is focused on a topic of relevance to all in the group.
Betsey brings an outline filled with solid thinking and
ideas followed by a group discussion around those ideas.
All components are filled with value - from the discussion
topics themselves to being able to listen to how others
solved similar problems. Often I return to the office to
share the thinking with my staff and immediately put the
ideas into practice."
Lisa Hickey, Founder, Velocity, Inc.
Interim Management

Quality Focused Interim Management
For Philip Johnson Associates, we came on board as
an interim operations management solution to help the senior
management of this fast-growing organization develop best
practice systems, processes, standards, role clarity and career
pathing tools to improve quality focus.
RESULTS: Prospects and clients praised increase level
of professionalism. Organization achieved greater than anticipated
growth.
"Betsey didn't waste any time
in pointing out areas for immediate improvement in our processes
and creative department. She quickly established herself
as the sounding board for all creative department issues,
designed training sessions to demonstrate the importance
of teamwork and collaboration, and helped our agency set
up a team structure that is helping us to grow rapidly with
the right fundamentals in place. Betsey helped me and other
senior managers here learn the importance of constant communication,
bringing in the right people at the right time and true
team management. Today we are more professional in our approach
to work and each other. Both prospects and clients have
responded positively to the change. While others are struggling,
we're growing. I recommend her highly."
